What Sortmail tells Meta about its ads, and how to stop it.
When you arrive from a Sortmail ad on Facebook or Instagram, we tell Meta, from our server, when that visit becomes an account, a free preview, a checkout and a purchase, with its amount. That lets Meta show our ads to people likelier to find Sortmail useful. With each event we send the ad click identifier, your browser’s IP address and user agent, and a one-way hash of your account number.
Never sent: your email address, your name, or anything from your mailbox. Nothing at all is sent about anyone who did not arrive from one of our Meta ads, nor for visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. No Meta script runs on any of our pages.
Under some US state laws this counts as “sharing” for advertising. You can opt out here. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser opts you out as well, on every visit it is sent. Details are in the privacy policy.
